Jim Gronbeck Joins FNTS as Director of Mainframe Operations

OMAHA, Nebraska (September 24, 2024) – FNTS, a strategic and trusted managed IT services provider that specializes in mainframe optimization and modernization, announced today that Jim Gronbeck has joined the company as Director of Mainframe Operations. Gronbeck will lead a collaborative team of mainframe engineers who provide software, hardware support and maintenance to organizations that utilize FNTS’s trusted mainframe services.

Under Gronbeck’s strategic direction, FNTS will continue to provide customizable and right-fit solutions to organizations with mainframes of all sizes and complexity. FNTS has a proven 30-year history of managing, optimizing and modernizing complex mainframe environments.

A former mainframe engineer, Gronbeck has extensive experience in offering technical support. He also has held a variety of regional and global IT management roles to support outsourced and non-outsourced business operations. His previous companies include Charles Schwab Corporation, DXC and AETNA.

Gronbeck earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Colby College and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His educational background provided him with a firm foundation in IT and fostered an interest to understand the role IT plays in business growth. These learnings will complement FNTS’s initiatives to spur additional mainframe business growth.
