The VMAX3 is EMC’s latest Generation flagship Enterprise Storage Array.

Software Highlights:
The VMAX3 is designed to support embedded applications right from the array – Several additional applications will be supported in the upcoming months…

- HyperMax OS – Always-on with 99.9999% (6 Nines) availability

           Non-disruptive upgrades or updates

           No single points of failures

- eNAS – Embedded NAS software that supports 768TB’s of NFS and CIFS with no additional hardware

- TimeFinder SnapVX – Latest in-memory snapshot technology for the VMAX. No longer a Copy-On-First-Write (COFW) operation

- ProtectPoint2 – Super Fast, Embedded Backup Services that can backup systems right from the VMAX to Data Domain without impacting the application server3.

- FAST.X – Extends “Automated Tiering” beyond the physical VMAX to other 3rd party arrays and\or to Cloud Service Providers that appear as local storage.

- Service Level Objective (SLO) Automation – Automates and enforces performance policies
